After your CSV upload, you may see a message that says:
“n rows were not imported into Pitchlane due to errors with the data.”
This means we tried to clean and process every row, but some couldn’t be imported. It happens—some rows just don’t have the data we need, or they don’t fit the expected format.
A CSV with the problematic rows is automatically downloaded.
Each row includes an error message and the row number from your original file.
You can open it and see what went wrong—missing fields, invalid formats, etc.
Missing required fields (e.g., no website or email).
Invalid characters or formatting.
Data that couldn’t be cleaned or parsed into something usable.
Fix the errors in the downloaded CSV and re-upload the corrected rows.
Use email fallback: If your rows are missing a website, you can tick the “Email fallback” option before uploading. This tells Pitchlane to try extracting a domain from the email address instead.
Example:john.doe@example.com
→ fallback domain becomes example.com
We do our best to clean and fix your data automatically, but some rows may still fail. When that happens, we give you everything you need to fix them quickly.
