If you're at the stage of recording your video in Pitchlane, usually, you will see something like this...
However, if your camera and/or microphone aren't showing up, here's some steps you can take...
Camera Issues
If your camera won't start / just shows a black screen
Check that the correct webcam is selected from the drop-down
if you've closed your laptop and are using an external webcam, make sure the external webcam is selected.
Check if another application on your computer is using your camera, and close/quit it
Common culprits include Loom, Vidyard, FaceTime, etc
Check if you have given permissions to use the camera from your browser to Pitchlane. You can check this by clicking on the "Camera" icon in the chrome search bar
Otherwise, you can look at Site settings
Then click "Camera"
You should see Pitchlane appear in the sites allowed to use your camera:
If your camera is an external webcam / USB
try unplugging the webcam and plugging it back in
check that the webcam is not overheating

Mic Issues
If your mic won't select / doesn't show up, please try the following steps
If your mic is external / USB, try unplugging it and plugging it back into your computer
Check if another application on your computer is using your mic, and close/quit it
Check if you have given permissions to use the mic from your browser to Pitchlane. You can check this by going (in Chrome) to Settings -> Site settings -> Microphone.You should see Pitchlane among the sites allowed to use your microphone
